Candy Grapple

One of my first fully fleshed out hero props, inspired by the color scheme and stylization of King Candy from Disney's Wreck-It Ralph. 

Definitely a challenge my first time through the texturing pipeline, but a great way to get started with all the skills I needed. 

2022. Responsible for all aspects. Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Arnold. 

Concept

Before moving to 3D I wanted to get familiar with the concept of my prop by visualizing the color palette, materials, and shape language. 

As I was using King Candy for my inspiration I studied his expressions, garments, and colors in order to craft a hero prop that could fit cohesively into the style of the film.
